Brew By Numbers’ Oyster Stout, brewed with Dorset Rock Oysters, is absolutely divine.
It sits a deep dense black in my glass with a little fluffy head and smells of chocolate and prunes and a hint of seaside ozone.
The oysters give a beautifully soft and silky slipperiness to the body of the beer as well as providing the hint of salty ozone as you drink.
The malts are rich treacle tart, sweet honey, bitter black coffee and a little vanilla, and the hops are a crunchy pithy leaf litter and wood sap treat, a little lemon and a touch of linseed as you head toward the round bitter finish.
Super.
