BrewDog Albino Squid Assassin (7.4%)

Albino Squid AssassinBrewDog’s Red Rye IPA has a very silly name, but it’s a super little beer.
I know I’m a sucker for rye beers, but this one is particularly tasty, pouring a rich copper colour and smelling of toffee apples, peanut brittle and garden flowers, Albino Squid Assassin jumps out at you from its rather nicely decorated can.
Taking a swig you find a malt that is rich and round and fruity, tinged with rosehip syrup, there’s toffee popcorn and a good earthy warmth from the rye over which the hops are sharp slashes of lime zest and grapefruit, peaches and pine resin that lead you to a sticky sweet and boozy finish.
