Hackney’s Pale Ale is rather nice.
It’s very easy to drink, soft and subtle, pouring a rich gold and smelling of iced gems and toffee.
The malting is a vanilla coated Nice biscuit, caramel, peanut brittle and honey, and the hops – Cascade, if you were wondering – provide a sharp herbal snap, nettle sting greenery, lemon rind and nectarines that lead you to a very nice bitter dry finish with a gentle resinous background stickiness.
