This is a very good beer indeed, though I’m slightly confused by the Jamaica tag.
Sure, the malts have a ginger cake and treacle body, and there’s a very nice boozy rum warmth from the alcohol, but it doesn’t explain the Jamaica thing at all.
The hopping is crunchy and crisp, red autumnal leaf litter, gooey pine sap and a spiky pineapple and lemon rind fruitiness that adds a sharp bitterness to the edges of the sweet round caramel of the finish.
But Jamaica? Please explain.
