Pouring a bright gold and smelling of apricots and honey, Mad River’s Pale Ale is really rather good.
When you take a swig you find a soft round caramel wafer body, honey and a pinch of white pepper that gives a nice earthy warmth to the background of the beer.
The hopping is sharp and snappy, lemon skins and grapefruit, apricots, green herbal leaves and just a hint of pine resin.
All this makes for a fresh light beer with a crisp bitter finish.
