Whenever I’ve had the pleasure of trying a Tempest beer it really has been a pleasure, and this is no different.
Brewed in collaboration with BrewDog Edinburgh, this is a Scottish Ale with Belgian yeast, honey and ginger, giving the beer a background flavour of Jamaica Ginger Cake.
There’s an earthy sour dough hum from the yeast, a load of toffee and brown bread from the malts, sweet sticky honey and the light nettle sting of fresh leafy hops before the bitter sweet finish.
The only thing I’d change is that I’d prefer it in a bigger bottle so I’d got more of it to enjoy.
