This is not good.
Not good at all.
A Golden Ale aged in Whisky casks and with a big alcohol kick, Òrach Slie is slimy and oily, overly sugary, sickly and sticky.
You can kind of taste the whisky as a slight woody background hum, but mainly this beer tastes of spun sugar and popcorn, straw and apricot jam, and everything combines to create a slimy, greasy feeling on your tongue and a cloying sugared finish.
In fact it reminded me of nothing more than those Innis & Gunn beers I dislike so very much.
I poured it away.
