Not the most exciting of Mad Hatter’s beers, this is still very good indeed.
It’s a classic Saison full of popcorn and caramel wafers, an earthy spice hit and some green herbal leaves.
The beer pours a light straw with a big fluffy head and smells of honey and hay bales and farmyards.
And that’s about your lot.
You know what a decent Saison is meant to give you, and this gives you everything you could ask for from the style.
In fact, it’s quite refreshing to have a beer from Mad Hatter that isn’t mental, isn’t challenging, is just really good and fun to drink.
