Brewed for the Liverpool Philharmonic and chosen by their conductor, Vasily Petrenko, this is a very good Pale Ale, and a lovely reminder that when Mad Hatter aren’t brewing experimental beer their straight forward brews are excellent.
Pouring a pale gold, the aroma is Passion flower and lime.
There’s a soft caramel and pancake malt, a little maple syrup and little honey on toast, and the American hops are fresh and sharp and fruity.
You get lemon and lime zest, mango, tangerine, kiwi and garden flowers, and all this fruity goodness leads to lovely dry bitter finish.
