One Mile End Brewery Hospital Porter (5.2%)

Hospital PorterOh my oh my, oh rye oh rye.
What is it that I love about you?
What is it that makes me swoon?
This little bottle of joy is a Porter with added rye, and that makes it slightly magical.
Sure you get all the Porter stuff that you go looking for in a…well…in a Porter.
You know, chocolate and prunes, pipe smoke, burned toast, plums, orange zest, hedgerow greenery and a slap of hazel and herbal leaves from the Chinook and Bobek hops.
But underpinning all of this there’s a deep rich earthy spice hit from the addition of the rye.
It’s round and meaty and it makes this Porter very good indeed.
