Shark Attack is a Double Red Ale, a big beautiful monster of a beer.
Pouring a deep amber with a big cloud of foam for a head, the smell is toffee apples and rum baba.
Taking a mouthful you find the biggest, gloopiest, booziest malting, masses of treacle toffee, plum compote, crunchy bran rich biscuits, a bucket full of honey and some lightly salted peanut brittle.
The hopping is pretty fierce too, snapping away at you with pineapple chunks and fruity jelly sweets, pink grapefruit zest and sherbet lemons, and all this builds as you drink, taking over your entire being as the heat of the alcohol singes your synapses, leading you towards a super dry bitter finish.
