The Liverpool Craft Beer Co. Rye Pale Ale (5.6%)

Rye Pale AleApart from being slightly flat, this is a very nice little beer.
It’s a deep gold in my glass and smells of strawberries, peaches and caramel.
The malting is round a chewy with toffee and toast, honey and cornflakes, and there’s a rich earthy background from the rye, and over this the hops are sharp citrus, lemon rind and nettle leaves, grapefruit zest and green tea.
All this makes for a rich round beer with a bitter dry finish.
I just wish it had a little more fizz, because then it would have a little more life.
