Weird Beard Brew Co. Safe Word (6.6%)

Safe WordSafe Word is an IPA brewed with Chokeberries and in collaboration with BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush.
The beer pours a deep amber with a little fluffy head and smells big and fresh and fiercely fruity.
There’s a solid brown bread and toffee popcorn malt backbone that provides a super background for the great big hit of Mosaic hops and berries.
You get that tangy Mosaic goodness, all herbal leaves, rolling tobacco and some zippy lime zest, but here it’s presented all wrapped up in a cherry and blackcurrant jacket that comes from the chokeberries.
Safe Word is very good indeed.
