Brew By Numbers’ fourteenth IPA recipe involves Citra and Summit hops and is a super fresh fruit salad of a beer.
Pouring a slightly cloudy gold, which may or may not be to do with me not letting it rest long enough after it arrived, the smell is clementines and mango.
It’s a big fat round smell and it’s lovely.
On taking a mouthful you find a soft and gentle honey coated waffle malt and a little light yeast earthiness.
And then the hops take off, whizzing around your face with fizzy sherbet fun.
You’ll find mango and tangerine, lime zest, lemon pith and a snappy green herbal edge that leads you to a finish that leaves you puckered and smiling with its dry bitter finish.
