BrewDog Monk Hammer (7.2%)

Monk HammerThis is BrewDog’s Jack Hammer brewed with Belgian yeast and it works very well indeed.
You get all the sharp super bitter citrus rush of Jack Hammer, lychee and lemon zest, grapefruit, lime leaves and tobacco slapping you upside the head, and there’s the soft smooth vanilla biscuit and honey of the malts.
But in Monk Hammer all this goodness is backed up with a warm and earthy spice yeast hit that adds a warm round richness to the lip puckeringly bitter dry finish.
