Brixton Brewery Lavarush Coffee Stout (5%)

LavarushThere’s a lot of coffee in this Coffee Stout, and that’s a good thing, especially when it’s balanced so nicely.
Lavarush pours a deep purple brown and smells of coffee and dates.
The malting is fig rolls and honey, biscuity and crunchy and rich with fruit, and there’s a good hop hit that’s bright and sharp and keen with lemon and mandarin rind, herbal greenery and pithy hazel leaf hedgerow.
And as you drink the fresh coffee washes over you, rich and nutty and woody.
Lavarush is very good indeed.
