Pouring a bright gold with a little fluffy head, Brockwell IPA smells of grapefruit, melon and mango.
Taking a swig you find a decent enough biscuit and toffee malt, some white pepper and a dab of honey, and the hops are floral and citrusy, flower borders and lemon rind, passion fruit and mango.
The problem is that everything feels a bit thin which makes the finish rather watery and this, coupled with a slightly odd butterscotch background hum in both the smell and aroma makes this an only just alright beer rather than a good one.
