Crate Brewery Hibiscus & Passion Fruit Sour (4.9%)

SourThis little beer slipped out of its can as fresh as a daisy.
Pouring a soft pinky gold, the smell is strawberries and garden flowers, and the beer’s little frothy head sparkles with life.
There’s a soft brioche and honey malt, a light creaminess in texture that means the beer feels smooth on your tongue, and there’s a nice herbal hop hit, all basil steeliness, thyme and lemon zest.
But it’s the combination of the hibiscus, passion fruit and Brettanomyces that makes this beer something a bit special.
You see, these extras all work together to give you a bright, crisp and super fresh perfumed fruity blast that is undercut by a sharp citrus sourness that makes for a superbly refreshing drink.
