Cromarty Brewing Co. Ghost Town (5.8%)

Ghost TownGhost Town is a “Mysteriously Malty Porter”.
That’s what the bottle says, but there’s nothing mysterious here.
What there is is a very good ten malt Porter that’s thick and round, chocolatey and chewy.
Pouring an inky black the smell is figs and chocolate, and as you take a swig you find a super dry burned wholemeal toast, plum, prune and honey body, lots of bitter black coffee and just enough piquant and pithy green herbal hops to cut a clean path across all the malty goodness.
Mysterious this might not be, but it’s a very good Porter nonetheless.
