The Gun Brewery of East Sussex are a new Brewer to me and on the basis of this fine little IPA I’d like to get to know them a whole lot better.
Pouring a deep gold with a fluffy little head, the smell is mangos and peaches and a little lightly spiced honey.
There’s a round chewy malt that’s full of shortcake and caramel, honey and some creamy fudge, and there’s the biggest, smiliest, zingiest hop burst that puckers your lips and curls your tongue with sherbet coated lemon rind, mango, tangerine and lime leaves.
All of this makes for a beer with a big round body and a super long dry bitter finish.
Lovely stuff.
