Mad Hatter Brewing Co. Double Nightmare On Bold St. (9.5%)

Double Nightmare On Bold StreetI fear I may never sleep again.
This double version of Nightmare has twice the HasBean coffee and twice the malt, meaning that this little bottle is full of the richest roundest blackest beer I’ve had in some time.
The aroma is prunes and coffee and taking a swig you find the most enormous plum compote, burned toast and honey fired by a frightening quadruple espresso coffee blast that peels your eyelids back and keeps you staring when all you want to do is keel over, as the rum and brandy alcohol heat makes your brain numb.
The lactose makes for a soft creamy smooth finish that adds a vanilla creaminess to the finish of this ridiculously fun beer.
