Orbit Beers #1 Double Kölsch (6.8%)

Double KölschThe first in an experimental series from Orbit, this little bottle contains a big big beer.
Cold conditioned for thirty days, there’s a strawberry, caramel and sultana aroma that drifts up from this bright gold beer with its foamy head.
The malting is big and round and chewy, soft with vanilla ice cream, you’ll find brandy snaps and apple cores, while the hops snap at you with a brittle and fresh herbal greenery which is tempered by the earthiness of the house Kölsch yeast.
And all the while a big alcoholic blanket smothers you into happy submission.
Very good indeed.
