Stewart Brewing Hefe (5.4%)

HefeNow this is a good Hefeweizen, very good indeed.
Pouring a deep gold with an enormous fluffy head, the smell is fried banana and honey with a lightly spiced edge.
Taking a swig you find a big creamy vanilla brioche and runny honey malt, more of those bananas, clove and white pepper, and over this there are some lovely fresh green hops, steely metallic basil, soft hazel leaves, peach, lemon zest and rolling tobacco.
All of this makes for a fresh and fizzy beer with a dry bitter finish.
