BrewDog Jet Black Heart (4.7%)

Jet Black HeartWhen BrewDog get it right they really get it right.
And this is one of those times.
An Oatmeal Milk Stout that pours road tar black and smells of plum compote and fresh coffee, this is a beer to relax into.
You get a big treacle tart malt, some honey, some pecans and a big blast of coffee and burned toast along with a bitter and dry pithy hedgerow slap from the hops.
And all the while the oatmeal and lactose combine to make the beer feel smooth and round and creamy.
Jet Black Heart is very good indeed.
