Vocation Brewery Life & Death (6.5%)

Life & DeathI’ve been wanting to try this for ages, and it’s been worth the wait as this is one hell of a good IPA.
Pouring from its can a rich gold with a big fluffy head, the smell is lime marmalade and pine resin.
It’s a rich gloopy smell and it leads you down into the beer where you find a rich gloopy malt backbone to match the aroma.
There’s a big blob of toffee, some biscuits and a dab of honey, and over it the hops are a massive blast of lemon zest and lime juice, mango, peach and a soft hibiscus perfume, all of which lead you to a lovely bitter dry finish.

Am currently drinking this and its marvellous. 4 for £6 in my local tesco which is a bargain.

It is now my favourite, even better than Brewdog IPA’s. Unfortunately my local Tesco has just removed the offer of buy any 4 for £6. But having looked at the prices on line, £2.99 etc. Tesco’s price for one at £1.85 is cheap. So sod it, I’m getting a few more tomorrow!

    • It is a very good beer.
If you’ve got a Marks & Spencer nearby, check their shelves as they are now stocking a range that includes Stone IPA, Yeastie Boys Pot Kettle Black and some Northern Monk.
