Hopfanatic Brewery Fekete Erdö (66%)

Fekete ErdöThis little beer, which is an Erdei Gyümölcsös Porter, or Forest Fruity Porter, is my first taste of the beer made by Hopfanatic of Hungary and I like it a lot.
Brewed with forest fruits, there’s a lovely round fleshy berry flavour that drifts through the beer.
But it’s not sour, not sharp, but more like the cherries of a good Black Forest Gateux.
You find chocolate and vanilla, coffee, treacle and rich red berries.
The Willamette hops provide a snappy hedgerow and hazel leafiness, some lemon zest and a blob of orange marmalade, while the aroma is nothing short of figs and plums and espresso.
In fact, with every mouthful I like this beer more.
I like its warmth, its richness and its playful fruitiness.
Super.
