Les Brasseurs Du Grand Paris La Levalloise (5.7%)

LevalloiseIf this little bottle of fun is anything to go by then I will look forward to trying more from this French brewery.
The smell that drifts up at you as you pour this pale gold beer with its little fluffy head is all flower borders and fruit baskets, it’s big and round and fresh.
The malts are lightly salted shortbread, crystallised sugar, honey and waffles, and the hops are big and sharp.
You get mango and guava, hazel, blackberry leaf tea, nettles and lemon zest from the hops, and all this is wrapped up in a warm boozy jacket that makes for a finish that’s long and bitter, yet satisfyingly gloopy.
Tres bon.
