Rothbeer Brewery Tavoli Galaxis (6.1%)

Tavoli GalaxisWell hopped Hungarian IPA anyone?
You’ll be pleased that you did.
Tavoli Galaxis is a very good little IPA brewed with Galaxy and Magnum (though mainly Galaxy) that pours a rich amber with a fuzzy head of foam and smells of peaches and kiwi fruit and, slightly oddly, creme brûlée.
It’s not in any way a badly odd smell, I just wasn’t expecting that kind of vanilla thing in the aroma.
Taking a swig you find a malt that welcomes you with custard creams, toffee brittle, honey and well baked pastry, while the hops slap you awake with melon and lime leaves, sherbet lemons, kiwi and passion fruit.
All very fruity, all lots of fun.
And then the slightly custardy vanilla creme brûlée thing pops back up at the edges of the long bitter finish.
Very nice.
