Presented in a rather fetchingly shaped bottle, this is a decent little Porter.
It pours a deep purple brown with a little foamy head and smells of chocolate coated plums.
Taking a swig you find a rich bitter chocolate, coffee and honey malt, there are digestive biscuits and toffee too, and there’s a crunchy red leaf pithiness from the hops, along with some orange marmalade and a splash of lemon juice.
All this makes for a beer with lots to keep your interest and a soft and creamy treacle tart finish.
