Eight Degrees’ single hopped IPA is big and round and juicy, just as you’d expect from a Citra based beer.
It pours a rich gold with a tiny little head and smells of zesty lemons and touch of toffee.
There’s a decent caramel and wafer malt whose honeyed sweetness and chewy pancake body creates a good backbone across which all the lovely Citra hops do their Citra thing.
Lemon zest and honeysuckle, grapefruit pith, mango and a hint of nettle tea all make for a finish that’s big and zingy and full of life.
Very good indeed.
