Black Flag Brewery Saison Sorachi (6.1%)

Saison SorachiSorachi Ace is a wonderful hop and when used well it really sings.
And boy has it been used well by Black Flag.
Let’s start at the beginning.
The beer pours a pale gold and smells of sherbet lemons and honey.
As you take a mouthful you’ll find all the stuff you’d expect from a good Saison, the French bread and honey, caramel water malts, and the warm earthy spiced kick from the yeast.
And that by itself would be just fine, but then the Sorachi Ace start to play around with your tastebuds, with fizzy sherbet lemon sweets, lemongrass, mown lawns, lime leaves and guava jelly making for a super sharp and keen dry bitter finish.
