Forget the slightly cabbagey background hum in the aroma of this beer, because once you get over it you find a really decent little IPA that’s good and sharp in all the right ways.
It pours a rich gold with a little bubbly head and has some nice caramel in the aroma that just about outweighs the diacetyl and cabbage.
But when you take a swig you find a very nice round chewy honey and waffle, brown sugar and shortcake malting and some sharp bitter hedgerow and lemon zest, kiwi and grapefruit hops that make for a long dry bitter finish.
