Brewed in collaboration with Atom Brewery, this is a Rye Ale that pours a dirty conker brown and smells of cherry red Dr. Martens, honey and plums.
The malting is a leathery and rich, all treacle tart and satchels, old walnut worktops, almonds and caramel creams, while the hops are spiky conker shells, red autumnal leaves, some tamarind and tobacco woodiness.
All this and a chest warming alcohol heat, roasted nuts in the background, leads you to a sticky burned brown sugar finish.
