Orbit Beers Apricot Saison (5.9%)

Apricot SaisonNumber four in Orbit’s White Label series, this is a nice refreshing beer that hides its alcohol very well.
Pouring a hazy light gold with a little fluffy head, the smell is spicy apricots and honey, and you get lots of all that in the flavour too.
The apricot purée bubbles around in the background, making the beer fruity and furry and fun, it adds a nice, if obvious, fruitiness to the background of the honey brioche, white pepper and caramel waffle malts, and it rounds off the edges of the sharp bitter herbal hit of the hops.
And then there’s spicy Saison yeast that the apricots soften, leaving a beer with a finish that’s gentle and fresh and very nice indeed.
