I’m having a bit of a Lager afternoon as I seem to have accrued a fair few in my little beer fridge, and this one is particularly good.
Hale’s of Seattle have brewed a nice little Kölsch that pours a bright gold and smells of garden flowers and candy canes.
Taking a swig you find a sweet spun sugar and honey biscuit malting, it’s soft and creamy and a little bit dreamy, and before it gets too sweet the green herbal hops kick in, giving you a sharp lemon zest and steely basil zing before the finish goes spicy and warm, crisp and bitter.
Very good.
