Ziggy Zoggy is a silly name but it’s a lovely little beer brewed in the Zwickelbier style, though I didn’t see too much cloudiness in its bright Amber body when I poured it.
That aside, the beer smells of honey and orchards and lightly spiced dough and the flavours follow suit.
You find lots of runny honey, caramel and Belgian waffles from the malts, a very nice earthy spice from the yeast and then a big hit of fresh lemon zest, garden herbs and apricots from the hops.
All this culminates in a delightfully dry and bitter finish that carries a prickly spice warmth.
Very good.
