Stone & Wood Pacific Ale (4.4%)

pacific-aleCan anyone put me straight on whether or not Stone & Wood are now owned by a multi-national?
I looked around the interwebs a bit but could only find hints that they might be.
Not that the information would have any influence on this review, I’m interested for a little bit of research I’m doing for a potential article later on.
In the meantime, this is a bland and watery Pale Ale that pours a light gold and smells of, well, almost entirely nothing at all.
The malts are a wafer thin excuse for caramel and biscuits, and the hops are apologetically limp lemon rind and herbal leaves.
There’s some sweetcorn in the finish, just to top things off, and all in all I’d be happy to never try this again.
