Twisted Barrel Ale Wake Up Juice (9%)

wake-up-juiceTwisted Barrel’s take on a Belgian Triple is a Citra heavy delight.
The Belgian yeast is round and fruity, warm and earthy, and it sits front and centre in this delicious little beer.
The aroma is peach Melba and bubble gum and the beer pours a cloudy amber with an enormous billowing head.
There’s a lovely caramel and fresh bagel malt, waffles, honey and shortbread going all gooey and chewy as you drink, and the green herbal leafiness of the Goldings and Hersbrucker hops are given a sharp slap of zingy freshness by the addition of Citra.
All this makes for a beer with a Boozy warmth and a spun sugar finish.
