This is a very good little beer indeed.
It’s crunchy and red and warm, round and chewy with toffee popcorn, barley sugar, bran biscuits and honey from the malts, and with an orange rind and lime leaf, marmalade, redwood resin and tamarind hop hit.
The beer pours a lovely deep red and smells of passion flower and honey with a little nutty edge, and that nuttiness turns into peanuts and hazelnuts as you work your way towards the pithy dry finish with its sticky brown sugar kick.
