Hitachino Nest Saison Du Japon (5%)

saison-du-japonMarks & Spencer have upped their game adding Nogne Ø, Northern Monk, Delirium Tremens amongst others to their shelves.
They also have this lovely little Saison from Hitachinno Nest.
Brewed with Koji – malted rice – and Yuzu, this is a super little Saison that begins with a honey, haybales and papaya aroma and sits a bright gold in my glass.
The malting is round and solid, chewy with toasted caramel, shortcake and honey, and there’s a nice steely hedgerow hopping.
You find green herbal leaves too, and a good earthy yeast kick, and all over it the sharp tart Yuzu kisses you with zesty lemon goodness.
The beer finishes with a sharp sweet sherbet fizz.
