Brixton Brewery Hurricane (7.4%)

hurricaneThis Double APA was brewed to celebrate Brixton Brewery’s third birthday.
It’s a reworking of their Atlantic APA with a shed load of extra hops thrown in and it’s rather good.
It’s a big juicy beer, an IPA in all but name, with a solid toffee and coconut biscuit backbone from the malts, some walnut woodiness and lots and lots and lots of fruit salad hops.
From the smell that hits you as you pour, packed with passion fruit and melon, to the mango and guava, sherbet lemon and lime zest that takes over your face as you drink, this is a delicious little beer.
Happy birthday Brixton Brewery.
