This is a very American Pale Ale, not that that is a bad thing.
Not at all.
Pouring a pale gold with a little fuzzy head, the smell is pine cones and apricots.
There’s a decent crunchy dry biscuit malt, lots of honey and bran flakes, toffee and shortcake.
And while that’s going on the hops slap you with sherbet lemon, pithily dry hazel leaves, camomile tea, and a deep resinous redwood gloop that glues everything together.
All this goodness makes for a beer with a finish so dry you’ll need a glass of water on the side.
Good.
