Jopen Beer Adriaan Wit (5%)

adriaan-witA delightfully pale beer brewed with wheat and oats, the aroma is fresh and airy with oranges and honey and a light spicy yeast.
Taking a mouthful you find a very smooth body, it’s creamy and soft yet rich with pancakes and caramel, Belgian waffles and honey.
There’s a very nice snappy herbal hit of greenery and pithy sapling wood from the hops, some lemon zest and some basil steeliness, and this is tempered in the finish by the addition of floral coriander and zippy curacao peel.
All in all a very fine little wheat beer that I wish had been presented in a pint bottle.
