Ægir Bryggeri India Pale Ale (6.5%)

What a super can of beer this is.
For a start the can itself is a delight, beautifully designed and with a 360 ring pull, something I quite like.
The beer is a rich gold with a little fizzy head and the aroma is big and bold, all satsuma skins and passion fruit, it’s sexy and plump, voluptuous even.
Taking a big swig you find a solid malt full of caramel biscuits, spun sugar and plain bagels.
And then there’s the hopping.
It’s bursting with orange marmalade and lime zest, sherbet lemons, steely basil leaves, nettle tea and hedgerow foliage.
And I mean bursting.
All this and a finish that’s long and sharp and as dry as a bone.
Dette er veldig bra, as they’d say in Norway.
