BrewDog Casino Rye Ale (5.1%)

This is immensely disappointing.
It begins with that slightly chemical smell that I’ve found in BrewDog’s bottled pale beers in the last twelve months or so and continues into the way the beer tastes.
It’s bland and boring.
It smells like BrewDog and it tastes like BrewDog, but this is a half arsed version of BrewDog.
A “this’ll do” brew.
Caramel biscuit malts and hardly a hint of earthy spice that rye should bring are coupled with lemon and herb hops, and everything is thin and watery and a bit flaccid.
And every time I go back to my glass I’m greeted by that weird aroma.
Nope, I don’t like it.
