Brixton Brewery Megawatt (8%)

Happy 500th brew Brixton.
And what a beer you’ve brewed to celebrate your landmark.
Megawatt is a big fat and juicy Double IPA that pours a rich amber with a little fuzzy head and smells like a bucket full of Juicy Fruit chewing gum and boozy peaches.
The malting is round. chewy and sticky with golden syrup and honey, and crunchy with shortcake biscuits.
And then there are hops.
Hops that knock you about with razor sharp lime leaves, fizzing sherbet lemon, peach melba and steely green garden herbs.
All this is amplified by a chest warming brandy booze that adds a soft sweetness to the long bitter finish.
