Roosters Brewery High Tea (6.2%)

High Tea is a Jasmine Green Tea IPA that has been brewed in collaboration with Taylor’s of Harrogate, who are a specialist tea merchant.
The Jasmine and the Green Tea really come through in the aroma that drifts up from this pale amber beer with its fluffy little head, it’s spicy and floral and quite heavily perfumed.
There’s a solid malt body to the beer, with lots of honey and biscuits, candy canes and waffles, and the hops are sharp and keen with lime zest, satsuma, peach and herbal leaves.
And then the jasmine and green tea provide a rather earthy spiced kick and a tannin dryness right in the finish of this rather lovely beer.
