Two Roads Brewery Worker’s Comp Saison (4.8%)

workers-compThis isn’t a bad place for a Beery advent calendar to start.
A soft and fruity Saison, the aroma is lightly spiced honey and the beer sits a bright gold in my glass.
There’s a super soft salted caramel and waffle malt and some spiky herbal foliage from the hops.
You find lemon rind and nettle tea, camomile and apricot, and the beer has a gentle garden f,ower border aroma.
And bubbling away underneath there’s a warm and damp, earthy and peppery yeast that adds a good meatiness to the edges of the bitter dry finish.
