This is lovely.
Absolutely lovely.
Even so, it’s yet another beer that has been made with coconut but has me struggling to find any coconut in it.
Pouring an inky black, the smell of Coco Loco is chocolate and plums, and taking a swig you find a super malting that’s full of dark chocolate, coffee, wood smoke, frankfurters, honey and bran flakes.
The hops, East Kent Goldings if you were wondering, add a hedgerow bitterness with a hint of aniseed, making the beer feel fresh and lively, but the coconut is nowhere to be seen or tasted.
But it doesn’t matter, because whatever the Coconut does or doesn’t do, this is a super beer.
