This is exactly what I’m talking about when I complain about Session IPAs and why I was so very impressed with the Yeastie Boys one.
There’s nothing wrong with 360°’s Session IPA per se, pouring a pale gold with a light fruit salad and honeysuckle aroma.
And there’s a light caramel and waffle malt and some citrus fruitiness from the hops.
But everything is so light that it all disappears pretty much as soon as you’ve swallowed, leaving a big gap where the flavoursome finish should be.
Not undrinkable by any means, just a little bit ordinary.
